“Speaker Inc has totally transformed my speaking career and business across multiple areas. Andrew’s insights and mentoring have had a huge impact on the way I present, the way I market myself as a speaker, the quality of my decks and my understanding of the business of being a speaker to name a few.”
Chris Robb, Founder - Mass Participation ASIA.
Hello there, Andrew Griffiths here. I’ve been a Professional Speaker for many, many years. On this page you’re going to find out about a unique programme that I’ve dput together to help others develop the skills and expertise to become Professional Speakers. Now what it means to be a Professional Speaker can vary a great deal. That’s why this programme is designed to accommodate all types of Speaker and Presenters, from beginners through to veterans. As you will tell from the content outlined here, this is a comprehensive programme covering a huge range of topics and having many elements for not only developing skills overall, but also individually coaching participants to ensure that what is being taught is completely tailored for their goals and objectives, to inspiring and learning from other Professional Speakers and much more.
The uniqueness of this programme comes from the five elements that combine to make it one of the most comprehensive Speaker training programmes in the world. I’m sure that as you read on, you will see exactly what I mean. And the fact that you can start it at any time, due to the customisation of the programme, means there is no waiting for a specific date, it's up to you - and when you feel you would get the most benefit out of beginning the 12-month programme.
I'm a strong believer in the need to ensure that if you are going to invest time and money into learning something, you need to make sure that the person you choose to work with is the real deal. There are a lot of people promoting Speaker training, and many have had very little success and a very short time as a Speaker.
I’ve been a Professional Speaker, Presenter and Trainer since I was 18. Yep, in one shape or another, for about 35 years, I’ve been teaching a room full of people something. I’ve very proudly presented in close to 25 countries, hundreds of times and I’ve presented for some of the biggest companies in Australia and around the world. My clients have included everyone from the likes of Telstra, Optus, ANZ to Hewlett Packard, CBS and even the European Union.
I’ve had the great honour of doing a TEDx talk, called “Imagine if we were 33% less angry”. And I’ve done countless webinars, media interviews, video series, podcast shows and much more. I’ve even done a live presentation to 300 accountants in the social media realm of Second Life.
And last but not least I’ve done a pile of training for people wanting to grow as Speakers, everything from basic Speaker skills training, to storytelling and the business of being a Professional Speaker. About a thousand people have done training programmes and retreats with me in the past 10 years.
So what does this all mean? After more than many years as a Speaker, I’ve stayed professionally relevant, built a successful global Speaker business and continue to present around the world for all kinds of organisations in all kinds of formats. This means you’re getting all of the best advice that I’ve learned over this time in a structured and timely manner, delivered over 12 months and customised to suit you and the specific goals and objectives that you are trying to achieve as a Speaker.
Speaker INC is the programme I wish I had when I was starting out. I’ve thought long and hard about the content needed to suit any speaker in the modern world and I’ve developed 10 modules that address the most important skills and the knowledge necessary.
At the same time, it’s not just about learning new skills, there are many other areas to consider and that’s what makes this programme so unique. I’ve developed five core elements to the Speaker INC Programme and I share some more detail about these in the video below. Apart from the huge amount of knowledge that I share, through one on one coaching, you get a pile of learning from other Speakers in the form of monthly MP3 recordings, books, a community to be a part of to share and learn from, and you even get to attend my Speaker 2.0, 4 day retreat (check out the dates and content for this retreat here). It's a very comprehensive programme, designed to be fully customised to suit you and you and your Speaker needs, goals and dreams.
Everyone who joins the Speaker INC programme tends to be in a different space with their speaking. Some people are starting out, some have been speaking in some way for a few years and others have been on stage for years. This means that everyone has very specific needs and expectations regarding what they want to achieve out from working with me for 12 months. Hence the individual customisation of the programme. That said, during the 12 months that we are working together, we will be addressing ten key learning modules - the essential elements of the successful Speaker's skill set. These are shown in the framework diagram below.
The starting point for everyone joining the Speaker INC programme is getting clear on what it is you want to achieve as a Speaker - what are your goals, dreams and aspirations. These vary for each of us, but they also help tailor the programme to teach the specific skills and to offer the right advice to help you achieve your goals.
To be successful as a Speaker we need to learn how to sell ourselves - simply putting the word "SPEAKER" in our email signature isn't enough. We need to know how to position ourselves in a world with a lot of professional Speaker all vying for the same jobs. This process involves doing a competitor analysis, researching your topic and getting clear on what it is that you bring to the stage - specifically your competitive advantage. This is also where we need to get really clear on what you are going to be speaking about, the types of presentation that will suit you the best and those that will be the most commercially appealing to your target audience.
Next, we need to develop your Speaker branding. For many people this is a new process, selling themselves as the product. There are many potential pitfalls along the way. There is no doubt that building a strong, relevant and appropriate Speaker brand is essential to any Speakers success. We will certainly be doing a very deep dive on this particular topic and of course, I'll help and advise you every step of the way.
I am a strong believer in the importance of having a solid product architecture behind your speaking. This means ensuring that you have the right products and services that you are able to sell as a result of being on stage. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who is going to encourage you to be a high pressure, sell from stage type of speaker - that's not my style and in fact, I can't stand it. But what I do know and encourage, is the opportunity for people who engage with you and like your messaging to be able to buy the right products and services from you as a result of seeing you live. Developing your own product architecture is more complicated than we realise and certainly an area that I've had a lot of experience in, helping people to develop everything from online courses to week-long retreats.
This is where we work on developing your speaking skills - and in all reality, it takes a lifetime to really master our stagecraft and Speaker abilities. There are so many skills that we need to develop, from learning how to structure our presentations through to deep audience engagement. Much of this you will learn on my intensive 4 day, Speaker 2.0 retreat as part of the programme. I will give you direct feedback on all aspects of your Speaker skill set, from developing your slide decks right through to engaging any audience.
For many Speakers, the thing that lets them down the most is their approach to the "business of being a Speaker". The biggest problem is not actually treating their speaking as a business in the first place and that's something that I find essential. I've been a professional Speaker, and by that, I mean a paid Speaker, for many years. I've always been commercial and treated my speaking with the same level of professionalism that I treat any business. There are certain elements that we need to be taught, specifically around managing clients and business development. Master these and you will be a cut above the average speaker.
Now that you've gone to the effort and expense to get to this stage, how do you actually get speaking jobs? There are a lot of jobs out there, but there are also a lot of people competing for them. Learning how to market yourself as a Speaker involves a combination of detective-like skills, discipline, great record-keeping and the capacity to be ok with selling yourself.
As Speakers, we need a tribe or community as a means of attracting ongoing speaking jobs as well as providing a platform for selling our other products and services. How do we go about building a tribe of fans to help us grow our speaker business? This comes down to creating engaging and meaningful content, amongst other things. During the programme, we will get you well and truly underway with this process.
From my experience, successful Speakers have really good routines and rituals, for both their actual speaking and their business development. I will teach you these essential routines and rituals to help ensure you are on the right path.
Last but by no means least, is the concept of staying relevant as a Speaker. I've managed to stay relevant and commercial as a professional Speaker for over 20 years - and I've learned to do that by doing very specific things, year in year out. I'm going to share these with you because I don't want you to be successful as a Speaker for year, I want you to be successful as a Speaker for decades.
As you can imagine, each of these topics vary depending on where you are at in your Speaker journey. Rest assured, we will be diving deep on them all, I'll be sharing my own frameworks, my experience, my learnings and provide very specific advice for you over the 12 months that we are working together.

PS Check out the following testimonials from people who have done the Speaker INC programme.
"I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to join Andrew's first Speaker INC program, and I signed up immediately. To say it has been of enormous benefit to me would be a gross understatement. I have always loved public speaking, and I now want to add professional public speaking to my business offering. I want to be able to reach many more small business owners, as well as the large corporates who engage them as suppliers, so being able to present professionally is a must-have skill.
How many conferences, seminars, workshops etc. have you been to where the speaker was so awful or boring that you wished you could sink through the floor - just to escape? Far too many I'm sure. Then there are the good presenters, who engage with their audience and leave them with a memorable message. Lastly, there are the true professionals - the great speakers. With Andrew, I am learning from the Master. To be one of those, you need to take on board an entire body of knowledge and practice, and then work really, really hard at perfecting your craft. I guess that's why there are so many more diabolical speakers than excellent ones.
Andrew is the person who has worked on his professional speaking skills for many, many years - and continues to do so. His standing as an international presenter is testament to that. Having him as my tutor and mentor as I start my public speaking career is simply invaluable. As with everything he does, Andrew is extremely generous with his knowledge. He's a great teacher, and shares his presenting experiences - both good and bad - for our benefit.
If you have any thought of adding professional public speaking to your career path, sign up for this program. There is nothing like it anywhere else, and there won't be, because there is only one Andrew Griffiths with his unique blend of skills, knowledge, generosity, willingness to help others, and odd sense of humour."
"The thing about perfecting a new skill, is that all the formal learning in the world isn't going to get you the two most important elements that you need to really kick butt - insider tricks and tips, and momentum. And that's how Andrew's Speaker Inc membership stands out, he shares with you with all the little things he's learned over years of speaking in front of every type of audience possible and ensures you can transition from being an enthusiastic amateur, to a powerhouse professional.
The group webinars, and 1 on 1 sessions then ensure you make progress and keep working to your personal speaking goals. This kind of momentum is invaluable for someone like me that is flat out already with the growth of my business, and so having a coach that keeps you moving forward and helps identify the things to focus on and those to let go of is worth the price of admission alone.
People say they want to take their speaking seriously, but until we undertake some training like Speaker Inc, that forces us to see our speaking as a BUSINESS, then we are really just pretending. The world needs more great speakers, so get on it and join Speaker Inc!"
"I am probably a minority as I have always been comfortable on stage. I speak from my heart and that had served me well so far. I joined Andrews program to better myself and to take my existing speaking skills up a notch.
What I didn’t realise was that I was doing it the hard way. I had no structure for my speaking and so was wasting way too much time on things that were of little value to the audience and not enough time on things that really matter. Andrew has this wonderful way of pointing things out to you so they are really easy to understand and more importantly to implement. I love my sessions and leave full of excitement
Most importantly Andrew has added tremendous value to my speaking skill set.I have a good structure in place now and I am excited to walk on to any stage anywhere and with Andrews structure I am very confident I will deliver a fabulous outcome."
