The Business Bullet — By Andrew Griffiths

Lights, camera, action.

I have just developed a two day workshop around the concept of communication, more specifically pitching your products or services, presenting, writing, being filmed and even media interviews. One of the big reasons for developing this programme is the fact that these days, if you have a website (and I really hope you do), you simply must have some form of video on it.

Why I hear you ask? Well there are a few reasons.

Without doubt it helps when it comes to being found by search engines. Which is technical kind of stuff, that I don’t really understand, but I have been reassured constantly that “video is becoming vital” for any website.

Secondly there is an even bigger reason to have video on your website – and that is that it makes your site much more engaging and personal. It’s a way for visitors to connect with you in a way that is much more impacting than a static kind of website.

Last but not least, the internet is getting faster and more businesses than ever are using video online, to the point where sites that don’t are starting to looking a little outdated.

It isn’t that hard to make your own videos, and even if you pay a professional you might be surprised how affordable it can be. I have a filming session each month and record short videos, clips for products and newsletters, promotional bits and pieces and even online training programmes that I am developing. I used to think this would could tens of thousands of dollars – it costs nowhere near that.

The real key is to know what you are going to say, be well prepared, have some notes and rehearse them so that you are doing a nice comfortable chat to the camera, rather than a stressed out session. It is OK if it isn’t perfect, it shows visitors that you are human and real. People get that this is not a Warner Brothers production.

Check our Dr Deb’s website for Crackenback. See how she has used video to introduce various products and services in a warm and engaging way. She has also put her short television commercial on the site. Research has shown that people who go to the site love the video footage and “feel like they already know her” when they book in.

CRACKENBACK WEBSITE

As internet speeds up, we will see more and more video online. If you are in the midst of planning a website revamp, or developing your website, do whatever you can to make sure you have some kind of video footage built in. And if you want some more “how to info” regarding doing this right and even getting your first video, check out my 2 day workshop below, which you will actually end up with your own video as part of the programme.

Until next time –
Andrew

NEW TWO DAY “COMMUNICATION” WORKSHOP – CAIRNS

I am very excited to be launching my new 2 day workshop – Presenters Bootcamp V2 – “The New World of Communication”. I have been working on this workshop for quite some time and through my research, I have come up with what I think are some very innovative concepts and ideas that will have a profound affect on your ability to communicate – with exceptional results.

In this two day extravaganza, we will be expanding our communication skills to cover very specific presenting techniques such as pitching, writing with impact, conducting media interviews and speaking while being filmed. The whole idea is take our overall communication to an entirely new level – and to enjoy the results and benefits this brings.

Click on the following clink to see the brochure that explains everything you will need to know about the workshop. Now whilst it is always good if you have done the first bootcamp for background, the broad range of information that we will be covering in this event doesn’t make it essential TWO DAY EVENT – 17-18 SEP

Check out the HUGE value add – which is worth more than the workshop itself!

This is going to be a sensational 2 days with a lot of great information and practical experience being shared. I am looking to limit numbers to about 20 people, so if you would like to be involved, please follow this link to Trybooking.com – BOOK online and secure your space now.
