Merry Christmas Folks,
I’m not going to take up a lot of your time today, I’m sure you’ve got plenty to do with Christmas around the corner. I’m writing this Business Bullet from the wilds of north east Tasmania, the Bay of Fires to be specific, the place I come to for a nature fix and to write, reflect and plan. Do you have that special place where you do the same?
I want to thank you for your support in 2014. I’ve had a great year and I hope you have too. But 2015 is going to be huge. For me this means two new books coming out, two new programs (one for author/speakers and one for small business owners), many more articles for Inc.com, KPI, Flying Solo and lots more.

Some great (FREE) webinars coming up in January 2015.
For the speakers out there – I am teaming up with a few buddies, Nick Bowditch from Twitter and David Jenyns, Melbourne Video, to share some great information about the world of the professional speaker. I’m going to host this three part webinar series, called Speakers Academy and we are going to talk about the business of being a professional speaker, the need for a back end (and how to get more creative at generating revenue as a speaker) and last but not least, how to use storytelling to become the best speaker you can be. All topics very close to my heart.
Everything you wanted to know about podcasting but didn’t know who to ask? Everyone is talking about podcasting at the moment. It is a hot topic, and one that is gaining huge momentum as many very high profile people, like Tim Ferris are embracing this medium to connect with their audiences. That said, anyone wanting to communicate to their audience can use podcasting – and whilst I’m no expert, I know someone who lives, eats and breathes podcasting and now he is teaching others how to do it. So this is going to be a great webinar for anyone, like me, with little to no idea about podcasting but keen to learn.
It’s great to have a break over Christmas and right about now, we are all really looking forward to it. We get the chance to come back to work in January, feeling refreshed and recharged, ready to face the year ahead. The expectation is that January is a quiet month, not much to do, and the first few weeks of February are all about getting the kids back to school as business slowly gets back to normal.
